1st Degree Assault / CDS Violation / Stolen Auto - Linthicum

On January 16, 2024, at approximately 9:30 a.m., officers responded for an assault in the area of W. Nursery Road and Andover Road in Linthicum. Callers reported two male suspects were assaulting a male victim outside the victim’s vehicle with a wooden object. Responding officers located the parties involved at the scene. The suspects alleged the victim had stolen items from them, and they were attempting to get their property back. They also alleged the victim swung an axe handle at them. A witness stated the suspects assaulted the victim, striking him with the axe handle and kicking him while he was lying on the ground. A wooden axe handle was recovered at the scene. Both suspects were taken into custody. During a search of one of the suspects (Carr, Malik), officers located suspected CDS on his person, indicative of intent to distribute. The items seized include 34 flip-top containers containing approximately 18.66 grams of suspected cocaine, heroin/fentanyl or combination, three capsules containing 1.23 grams of suspected cocaine, heroin/fentanyl or combination, and two clear plastic bags containing approximately 1.64 grams of suspected cocaine, heroin/fentanyl or combination. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Further investigation revealed the vehicle that was being operated by the victim, a white 2016 Dodge Dart, was stolen. An application for charges was submitted for the victim, which was later served.

On January 16, 2024, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of disorderly conduct at the Red Roof Inn located at 827 Elkridge Landing Road in Linthicum. Officers located the suspect and, while investigating, learned she was in possession of a Glock 9mm handgun and did not have the proper permit. The suspect was arrested and charged.

On January 16, 2024, at approximately 8:20 a.m., officers responded for an assault at a residence in the 400 block of Secluded Post Circle in Glen Burnie. A 37-year-old male victim was stabbed by an unknown suspect. The investigation revealed that several individuals, including the victim, were invited by the sole resident of the apartment to stay overnight to keep warm. In the morning, occupants of the apartment were awakened by a disturbance and learned the victim had been stabbed by one of the overnight guests. The suspect and a few of the other guests fled the apartment prior to the officers’ arrival. The victim was transported to an area hospital with a serious, non-life-threatening injury.
