Weapons Offense - Linthicum

On January 20, 2023, at approximately 7:45 p.m., officers responded for a reported vehicle collision in the area of West Nursery Road and Winterson Road in Linthicum. One of the drivers, the sole occupant of an involved vehicle, was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. While completing an inventory search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded firearm. Officers discovered that the serial number on the firearm had been altered/removed. Officers would later learn that the driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

Shooting (Non-Contact) - Glen Burnie

On January 21, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., officers responded for a non-contact shooting at Henny Macks located at 7126 Furnace Branch Road E. in Glen Burnie. An employee observed a male discharge a firearm in the parking lot, firing a single round in the air. The male fled prior to police arrival. Officers located a single casing in the side parking lot of the business. Through investigative means, detectives were able to identify the suspect, who was later taken into custody at his residence and charged accordingly. A search warrant was executed at the suspect’s residence resulting in the seizure of a black semi-automatic handgun, a chrome revolver, and approximately 225g of suspected marijuana.

On January 23, 2023, at approximately 5:00 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Elkridge Landing Road and Nursery Road in Linthicum for an ATM in the roadway. Evidence indicates three unknown suspects dislodged an ATM by striking it with a pickup truck. The ATM was then loaded into the back of the truck. However, it fell off the truck as the suspects fled. The ATM was originally free-standing at the side of the Green Point Wellness located at 823 Elkridge Landing Road in Linthicum. It does not appear that any cash was removed from the ATM.

On January 22, 2023, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation in the 3900 block of Mountain Road in Pasadena. During the stop, officers observed a rifle sitting in plain view on the rear seat. During their investigation, officers learned that the driver was prohibited from possessing a firearm. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

Peeping Tom - Gambrills

On January 20, 2023, at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers responded for a report of a peeping tom at the Target at 2384 Brandermill Boulevard in Gambrills. A customer was undressing in the changing room and noticed a camera phone over the dressing room wall. When she turned around, the phone was gone, and she heard someone running away. An employee observed a subject running from the dressing room area. Surveillance footage captured the suspect hiding in the clothing section before exiting the business. First-Degree Assault / Weapons Offense - Laurel

On January 21, 2023, at approximately 10:00 p.m. officer responded for a report of an assault in the 3300 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. Upon arrival officers learned that the victim and suspect were in a verbal dispute over money when the suspect produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim. The victim immediately fled and called 911. Officers were able to locate the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident. Officers located and recovered the semi-automatic handgun used in the incident. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

On January 22, 2023, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of a shooting that just occurred in the 1800 block of Eagle Court in Severn. The 16-year-old victim stated that after stepping out onto the rear porch of the address, he heard several gunshots and was struck several times. A relative of the victim, who was inside the residence, heard the gunshots and found the victim lying on the rear porch. There were no witnesses to the shooting. The victim was transported to an area trauma center for treatment.
