Weapons Violation (Arrest) / Hanover

On January 25, 20201 approximately 3:55 p.m. a Western District officer conducted a traffic stop of a black 2010 Honda Accord for multiple moving violations in the area of Teague Road in Hanover. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer noticed the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and observed suspected marijuana within the vehicle. While speaking with the driver, the officer received information which resulted in a search of the vehicle which resulted in the recovery of a pouch containing a loaded 9mm SCCY CPX-2 handgun with an obliterated serial number. Also found in the pouch were packaging material and two bags with a small amount of suspected marijuana. Two scales were also recovered from the vehicle. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
