Shooting (Arrest) / Brooklyn
On January 24, 2020 at approximately 4:40 p.m., officers responded a report of shots fired in the area of Walton Avenue and Redmond Street in Brooklyn. Upon arrival, an officer located an 28 year old male victim with an apparent gunshot wound seated in a black Mazda CX7. Officers searched the area and located a male fitting the description hiding in the bed of a pickup truck at Walton Avenue and Johnson Avenue. Officers detained the suspect who was positively identified as the shooter. The suspect was arrested and found to be in possession of approximately 100 grams of suspected marijuana that was packaged for sale. Officers recovered a black Taurus 9mm handgun suspected of being used in the incident. The victim was transported to an area hospital for serious injuries. Western District
Assault (Arrest) / Hanover
On January 24, 2020 at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers responded for an armed subject with a knife in the 1400 block of Dorsey road in Hanover. The 28 year old male victim and a 25 year old male suspect were engaged in a verbal dispute over where the victim had parked his vehicle. The suspect became agitated, grabbed the victim's phone and threw it to the ground, causing damage. The suspect then retrieved a folding knife from his vehicle and used it to threaten the victim with bodily harm. The victim was able to get away from the suspect and call for help. The suspect was arrested and transported to Western District for processing. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The knife was recovered.

Northern District
Animal Abuse / Glen Burnie
On January 26, 2020 at approximately 1:45 p.m., officers responded for a report of an animal abuse to a dog that occurred earlier at a residence located in the 100 block of Janelin Drive in Glen Burnie. A witness reported seeing a 53 year old male suspect beat his German Shepherd with a metal chain, causing the dog to yelp in pain. Anne Arundel County Animal Care & Control officers responded and took custody of three dogs at the residence. The dogs were taken to Animal Care & Control for any needed care and treatment. The suspect turned himself in at the Northern District station where he was taken into custody without incident. Anyone with any additional information can call Animal Care & Control at 410-222-8900.

Motor Vehicle Tampering (Arrest) / Glen Burnie
On January 25, 2020 at approximately 8:50 p.m., officers responded for a complaint of a person pulling on car door handles in the 300 block of Old Stage Road in Glen Burnie. Officers searched the area and located a suspect fitting the suspect description. The suspect was detained and found to be in possession of personal property believed to have been stolen from vehicles in the area. The suspect was in possession of an ax and a knife. Citizen Strong Arm Robbery / Pasadena
On January 24, 2020 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a robbery of a 14 year old male in Chesterfield Park located in the 8100 block of Tower Bridge Drive in Pasadena. The victim advised he was walking at Chesterfield Park when a group of four to five juvenile males approached him. Two of the males approached the victim, struck the victim in his face casuing him to fall to the ground. The suspects continued to assault the victim by kicking and punching him. The victim stated that the other males stood by as the two suspects assaulted and robbed him. The victim sustained minor injury and was not transported for care. Officers searched the area and located one of the suspects (15 year old male) who was in possession of property belonging to the victim. Eastern District detective are investigating this incident. Northern District
Commercial Robbery / Linthicum Heights
On January 26, 2020 at approximately 6:15 a.m., officers responded for an armed robbery at the Bob Evans Restaurant located at 996 Corporate Boulevard in Linthicum Heights. Two suspects entered the business with masks and a shotgun and demanded money from the safe. The manager complied and the suspects left the scene in a blue 2006 Honda Civic belonging to one of the employees. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. The vehicle was located unoccupied on Rt. 295 near Nursery Road. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
