Weapons Violation - Severn

On December 30, 2021, at approximately 11:45 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop of a black Nissan Maxima on Reece Road near Sappling Drive in Severn. Upon approaching the vehicle the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During the stop, the officer located a loaded 9mm Polymer 80 handgun. The driver and passenger are prohibited from possessing firearms. Both were arrested and charged accordingly.

Commercial Robbery - Odenton

On January 1, 2022, at approximately 8:00 a.m. officers responded for an armed robbery at the Sunoco gas station located at 1433 Annapolis Road in Odenton. Two males entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. One of the males was armed with a dark-colored handgun. The clerk complied and the suspects fled in a black Chevrolet Malibu. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Robbery detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4720. On January 2, 2022, at approximately 3:35 a.m. officers responded to the 1100 block of Crain Highway in Gambrills for a report of an assault with a handgun that occurred earlier in the 1300 block of Ashburton Drive in Millersville. Three adult male victims arrived at the location to pick up a female friend. A male suspect at the scene did not want the female to accompany the males and pointed a handgun at them. Assault (cutting)/Attempted Robbery - Annapolis

On December 30, 2021, at approximately 3:45 p.m. officers responded for an attempted robbery and stabbing that had occurred at the Home Depot located at 55 Forest Plaza in Annapolis. The adult male victim was exiting the store when he was approached from behind by a male suspect. The suspect cut the male and demanded cash. The victim was able to fight off the suspect who fled without any property from the victim. Fire Department personnel attended to the victim who declined further medical care at the scene. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Southern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-1960. Weapons Violation - Annapolis

On January 1, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Street and Route 50 for an equipment violation. During the stop, it was discovered that the driver had a Glock handgun in the glove box. The driver was prohibited from owning firearms and was placed under arrest.
