Motor Vehicle Crash / Brooklyn Park

On January 3, 2021 at approximately 8:00 p.m. a Northern District officer was on patrol in the area of Doris Avenue and Ruth Street in Brooklyn Park when he observed accident debris in the roadway. Upon further investigation, the officer found a truck tractor that had been driven into the front porch of a residence immediately prior to his arrival. Witnesses reported the driver of the truck tractor fled the area. Responding officers quickly located the driver near the Brooklyn Homes Community Center. Further investigation revealed the suspect had taken the tractor from his place of employment without authorization and drove to Doris Avenue, striking an occupied vehicle and multiple parked vehicles before colliding with the porch of the residence in the 500 block of Doris Avenue. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

First Degree Assault; Theft (Arrest) / Linthicum

On December 31, 2020 at approximately 3:30 p.m. Northern District officers responded for an assault at the Shell gas station located at 463 Camp Meade Road in Linthicum. A store employee reported he observed an adult male suspect stealing items from the store. As the suspect exited the store without paying for the items, an employee followed the subject out to the parking lot and confronted him. The suspect displayed a knife and charged towards the employee but did not make contact. The employee retreated into the store. Officers searched the area and quickly located the suspect on B&A Boulevard near Hammonds Lane. Officers recovered the knife along property belonging to the business. Additionally, officers recovered a wallet and cell phone taken in a theft from auto reported on December 20, 2020. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The suspect was charged accordingly.

On January 1, 2021 at approximately 7:15 p.m. officers responded to the 400 block of Glen Mar Circle in Glen Burnie for a fight call where a subject pointed a handgun at the victim. Upon arrival officers learned that a fight ensued amongst tenants in an apartment building about cigarette butts in the hallway. The fight escalated and the suspect returned to his apartment, retrieved a handgun, and threatened the victim. The suspect was arrested and charged.

Citizen Robbery / Gambrills

On January 2, 2021 at approximately 2:30 p.m. officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in the area of Evergreen Road and Honeylocust Drive in Gambrills. The juvenile male victim was riding a bicycle on a path near the construction site at the rear of 1417 S Main Chapel Way when he was approached by an unknown suspect who threatened him and demanded cash. The victim complied, handing the suspect an undetermined amount of cash. The suspect then took the victim’s bicycle and began to flee. The victim was able to retrieve his bicycle, however the suspect was able to get away. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. First Degree Assault (Arrest Update) / Odenton

On December 29, 2020 at approximately 11:30 p.m. Western District officers responded for an assault at a residence in the 500 block of Retreat Court in Odenton. Officers met with residents who reported they got into an altercation outside the apartment with two individuals who are acquaintances of one of the residents. During the altercation, the acquaintance pointed a handgun at one of the residents, who is a 42 year old male, and then fled with another suspect also involved in the altercation. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. Western District detectives are following up on leads provided by the victims. Update (01/03/2021):
Through investigation, Western District Detectives were able to identify, locate, and arrest the suspect on December 31, 2020.
