Attempted Citizen Robbery (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On July 28, 2020 at approximately 2:50 a.m. officers responded for an attempted robbery of a citizen in the area of the 7400 block of Ritchie Highway.  The adult male victim was approached by the suspect who assaulted him and attempted to steal his money. The victim fled toward the courthouse where he reported the incident. Officers searched the area and located the suspect who was positively identified by the victim.  The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

On July 27, 2020 at approximately 5:45 p.m., officers responded for a report of an armed subject in a vehicle in the 600 block of Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers located a subject who was asleep in a blue SUV with the driver’s side door open. Officers observed a handgun between the seat and center console within reach of the suspect. A loaded 9mm Polymer 80 handgun and a box a box of 9mm ammunition were recovered. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Weapons Violation; Destruction of Property / Glen Burnie

On July 27, 2020 at approximately 11:50 a.m. officers responded for a destruction to property at the Extended Stay America located 104 Chesapeake Center Court in Glen Burnie. The hotel management reported damage possibly caused by a gunshot inside one of the units found by hotel staff. Officers obtained information regarding the identify and description of the person who had just checked out of the room.  Upon searching the area, officers located the subject walking along East Ordnance Road.  While officers were speaking with the subject, the subject lifted his shirt revealing a handgun. The subject was arrested and a loaded .40 caliber Glock handgun was recovered, along with approximately 20 grams of suspected Alprazolam. The suspect was transported to central booking and charged accordingly.
