Northern District
Carjacking - Brooklyn Park

On July 6, 2022, at approximately 4:20 a.m. officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 5617 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park for a report of a carjacking. An adult female was seated in the front passenger seat of a black 2008 BMW when a male suspect got into the driver’s seat. The female began struggling with the suspect, who implied he had a handgun and demanded the vehicle. The female honked the horn to get the attention of the vehicle owner, who was inside the store. The owner struggled with the suspect through the driver’s side window but was unable to get the suspect out of the vehicle. The female passenger got out of the car and the suspect drove away, northbound on Ritchie Highway. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or suspect. Eastern District
Robbery - Glen Burnie

On July 6, 2022, at approximately 5:40 a.m. officers responded for a report of an armed robbery that occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. An 18-year-old male victim was walking with friends along Nabbs Creek Road in Glen Burnie when four male suspects dressed in dark clothing and wearing ski masks got out of a black sedan and approached him and his friends. Two of the suspects had handguns. The suspects struck the victim in the head, took several items and cash from him, and fled. Western District
Assault - Jessup

On July 6, 2022, at approximately 3:50 a.m. officers responded for an assault that occurred between co-workers at a business located at 2112 Montevideo Road in Jessup. Two males were arguing when one assaulted the other with a box cutter causing a minor, non-life-threatening injury. The suspect drove off but later returned. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Assault - Laurel

On July 5, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers responded for an assault that occurred in the 3500 block of Old Annapolis Road in Laurel.  The victim was walking along Old Annapolis Rd when three suspects male approached him. One of the suspects threw beer in his face and cut his forearm with a knife. The suspects fled down Old Annapolis Road toward Red Clay Road. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
