Shooting (non-contact) - Brooklyn Park

On June 13, 2023, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of gunshots heard in the 700 block of Cross Street in Brooklyn Park. A witness told officers they heard gunshots coming from the parking lot of Cross Street Park. When they looked toward the gunshots, they observed a black male wearing all black with a black ski mask firing a handgun. No victims were located. Weapons Violation - Glen Burnie

On June 13, 2023, at approximately 9:50 p.m. officers stopped to speak with a group of teenage males in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. During the interaction, officers received consent to search one of the individuals, resulting in the seizure of a loaded .22 caliber handgun. The subject was arrested and charged accordingly.

On June 14, 2023, at approximately 2:00 a.m., officers responded for a shooting that just occurred in the 7500 block of Stonehouse Run Drive in Glen Burnie. Investigation revealed that an adult male victim drove himself to the 7-Eleven in the 7700 block of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard to report the shooting. The victim was transported to an area trauma center for treatment of what was described as non-life-threatening injuries. 1st Degree Assault/Weapons Offense - Hanover

On June 13, 2023, at approximately 9:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of an assault involving a handgun in the parking lot of the Bass Pro Shop, 7000 Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. Investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal altercation when the suspect produced a red/purple handgun and pointed it at the victim. After the suspect threatened the victim, she placed the handgun back in her vehicle and attempted to enter the mall when she was stopped by arriving officers. During a consent search of the suspect's vehicle, officers located a red/purple semi-automatic handgun. Officers would go on to learn that the suspect was prohibited from possessing a firearm. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Robbery (Citizen) - Dunkirk

On June 13, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of a person being thrown from a vehicle that just occurred in the area of Solomons Island Road and Jewell Road in Dunkirk. Investigation revealed that the adult female victim was inside her vehicle when she was approached by the suspect. The victim advised that both suspects arrived in a black Acura sedan. The suspect initially started a friendly conversation. When the victim looked away from the suspect, he ripped a necklace off of the victim's neck. The victim pursued the suspect back to his vehicle and attempted to retrieve the necklace. As the two struggled over the necklace, the vehicle started to drive away, dragging the victim along. The victim was eventually flung from the vehicle as it continued to drive away.
