On June 20, 2021 at approximately 12:45 a.m. Northern District officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Nissan Altima in the area of Townsend Avenue near 1st Street in Brooklyn Park. Officers made contact with the driver and information was received which led to a search of the occupants and the vehicle. The search revealed over 156 grams of suspected marijuana, a digital scale, packaging material and $1,997.00 in U.S. currency. The driver and passenger were arrested and charged.

Assault / Glen Burnie

On June 20, 2021 at approximately 7:25 p.m. officers responded for an assault in the area of Route 648 and Maple Road East in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers met with the 22 year old male victim and his two passengers, a 21 year old female and child. The victim stated he was involved in a road rage incident with another driver on Route 648. Both vehicles came to a stop at Maple Road at which time the driver of the other vehicle approached the victim, who was still seated in his vehicle, and struck the victim’s vehicle several times with a wooden pole. When the victim attempted to exit his vehicle, the suspect sprayed the victim with pepper spray. The suspect then fled in his vehicle, a black Hyundai. The adult female passenger was able to provide identifying information for the suspect and the vehicle. The victims were treated at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel. Officers located and arrested the suspect at his residence in Brooklyn Park. The wooden pole and OC spray used in the assault were seized as evidence.
