Weapons Violation / Severn

On June 23, 2021 at approximately 1:05 a.m. officers were on patrol in the area of Meade Village Road and Meade Village Circle in Severn when they observed a suspicious vehicle which was parked and occupied. Officers approached the vehicle to speak with the occupants and noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The investigation led to a search of the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of a loaded .357 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver found inside the vehicle. One of the vehicle occupants was arrested and charged.

Commercial Robbery / Gambrills

On June 22, 2021 at approximately 6:10 p.m. officers responded for a robbery at the GameStop store located at 2626 Chapel Lake Drive in Gambrills. An unknown male suspect entered the store and announced a robbery and demanded cash from the clerk. The clerk complied, handing over an undetermined amount of cash to the suspect. The suspect also removed merchandise from the store before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No weapons were displayed during this incident and no injuries were reported. Robbery detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4720. Suspect: Black male, early 20’s 6’00” tall, thin build wearing a black sweatshirt, dark colored pants and carrying a black backpack.
