On June 21, 2024, at approximately 10:45 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Faywood Court in Glen Burnie for a stabbing. The investigation revealed a 14-year-old female victim attempted to intervene in an argument between several juveniles outdoors when a 14-year-old female assaulted the victim with a knife. The victim was transported to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Responding officers located the suspect in an apartment and took her into custody.

Attempted Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

Investigators assigned to the Northern District Detective Unit are investigating an attempted citizen robbery on June 22nd at the Bank of America, located at 7206 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The 74-year-old male victim had completed a transaction at the ATM and was getting back into his vehicle when three black male suspects dressed in dark clothing tried to prevent him from closing his car door. One of the suspects threatened the victim with a screwdriver and demanded money from the victim. The victim was able to close his door and get away from the suspects, who fled in a dark-colored sedan. On June 22, 2024, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers responded to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center for a patient with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The 21-year-old male victim reported he was at a party near the airport when he was shot. The victim was unable to provide an exact location of the incident. A 911 caller reported an unknown disturbance in the Dorsey Road and Digiulian Boulevard area at approximately 10:30 p.m. Officers canvassed that area but did not locate a crime scene or any witnesses. On June 22, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m., officers responded to the Walgreens at 1230 Bay Dale Drive for a robbery. The investigation revealed that a black male, dressed in all dark clothing with sunglasses and a mask, threatened the employee with a knife and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied, and the suspect fled on foot. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Detectives assigned to the Regional Crimes Unit are investigating.
