Motor Vehicle Collision (Pedestrian/Fatal) - Glen Burnie

On June 25, 2022, at approximately 2:00 a.m. hours officers responded to the area of southbound Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and MD Route 10 for a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian. A passerby observed a person lying in the roadway and called 911.

The investigation revealed that a pedestrian was using a walker and was in the travel portion of southbound Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard when he was struck by an unknown

vehicle. The pedestrian was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing. It is unknown how long the pedestrian was in the roadway before being discovered by the passerby. The vehicle fled the scene in an unknown direction. Anne Arundel County Fire Department paramedics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The deceased was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy.

On June 25, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of Point Pleasant Road and Inglewood Drive in Glen Burnie for a two-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck and a sedan. A Ford pickup truck was traveling east on Point Pleasant Road just past Inglewood Drive. A Subaru sedan was traveling west, approaching the pickup from the opposite direction. The sedan crossed into the eastbound lane and struck the pickup nearly head-on. The driver of the sedan was trapped and required extrication by the fire department. The driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel. The juvenile passenger was transported by ground to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics in Baltimore. The driver of the Ford pickup had minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. The crash is currently under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.
