On June 25, 2021 at approximately 10:58 a.m. Northern District officers conducted a traffic stop on a black Jaguar in the area of Ritchie Highway and Americana Circle in Glen Burnie. Upon contact with the driver, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted at which time a 9mm Jiminez Arms handgun loaded with eight rounds of ammunition was located underneath the driver's seat, and a small amount of suspected marijuana was located inside the vehicle’s center console. The driver was arrested and charged.

Robbery of a Citizen/Brooklyn Park

On June 26, 2021 at approximately 1:30 p.m. Northern District officers responded to the 5300 block of Patrick Henry Drive in Brooklyn Park for a robbery that occurred on June 25, 2021. The adult male victim was walking along Wasena Avenue when he was approached from behind by two unknown male suspects. One of the suspects struck the victim in the head causing him to fall to the ground. The other suspect removed property from the victim’s pockets and both suspects then fled in an unknown direction. Robbery of a Citizen/Brooklyn Park

On June 25, 2021 at approximately 6:58 p.m. Northern District officers responded to the area of Dell Street at Patrick Henry Drive in Brooklyn Park for a fight. Numerous citizens called to advise that someone was being beaten up. Investigation revealed that the subject was jumped by a group of 8-10 males, who punched and kicked him. The victim’s car keys and wallet were taken during the assault. The subject was transported to an area hospital for further treatment of his non life-threatening injuries. CDS Violation/Glen Burnie

On June 26, 2021 at approximately 4:01 p.m. an Eastern District officer conducted a traffic stop on a silver Chrysler Sebring in the area of Old Stage Road at Crain Highway South in Glen Burnie. Upon speaking with the driver the officer received information which led to a search of the vehicle resulting in the seizure of 42.95 grams of suspected marijuana. The driver and passenger were arrested and charged.

On June 27, 2021 at approximately 12:38 p.m. Southern District officers responded to The Mattress Store located at 2138 Generals Highway in Annapolis for a report of a robbery of a business that had just occurred. Investigation revealed that the suspect walked into the store and approached the counter. The suspect then placed his hand under his shirt at his waistband, implying he had a weapon. The employee stated, the suspect mumbled something that was intangible. The employee felt like he was being robbed, so he attempted to hand the suspect the money from the register. The suspect refused the money and asked for the keys to the store’s box truck. The store employee told the suspect that the truck does not run, the suspect insisted the employee hand over the vehicle key. The employee complied and handed the suspect the keys. The store employee attempted to leave the store and the suspect blocked his path so the employee could not leave. The suspect then left the store and attempted to take the box truck without success. The suspect then fled the area on foot, where he was apprehended by patrol officers following a short foot chase. The suspect was positively identified and arrested and charged.

CDS Violation/Laurel

On June 27, 2021 at approximately 10:15 p.m. Western District officers checked an occupied Nissan Altima in the area of the 3400 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The officers observed suspected CDS and CDS paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of the following:
- 15 capsules of suspected CDS heroin/fentanyl contained in the various pill bottles
- 20 hypodermic syringes
- One digital scale
- 11 counterfeit 100 dollar bills, all same serial numbers
The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and charged.
