Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash- Glen Burnie

On June 27, 2024, at 10:04 pm, Northern District officers responded to westbound Dorsey Road at I-97 for a crash involving several vehicles. The investigation revealed a 2006 Mazda 3 was traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes of Dorsey Road near the I-97 overpass when it struck a 2019 Honda HR-V head-on. A 2015 Honda Accord traveling behind the Honda HR-V was unable to avoid striking the Honda HR-V after it crashed with the Mazda. The driver of the Mazda was pronounced deceased at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department personnel. The drivers of the Honda HR-V and Honda Accord were uninjured. The crash remains under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.

Robbery (Commercial) - Millersville

On June 27, 2024, at approximately 8:02 a.m., officers responded to the Wawa store in the 8300 block of Veterans Highway for a robbery complaint. Store personnel advised the suspect entered the business and requested a tobacco product. The employee requested identification from the suspect, but he didn’t have any. After the suspect was told he couldn’t buy the product without identification, the suspect pushed employees out of the way and went behind the counter. Once the suspect got behind the counter, he grabbed the tobacco product and pushed employees out of his way as he exited the store. Officers were able to arrest the suspect as he exited the store.
