Assault / Severna Park

On June 2, 2020 at approximately 8:11 p.m. officers responded for an assault that occurred in the area of southbound Ritchie Highway and McKinsey Road in Severna Park. A front seat passenger of a silver Subaru Forester pointed a handgun at the driver of a black Ford F150. Both vehicles continued southbound on Ritchie Highway until the suspect vehicle was stopped by an officer on Ritchie Highway near Joyce Lane. The weapon was found to be a pellet gun. Officers recovered two replica Glock 19 pellet guns from the suspect’s backpack. The passenger was arrested and charged accordingly. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Western District Citizen Robbery / Laurel 20-717196 On June 2, 2020 at approximately 7:00 p.m. officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in the area of Ridgemere Crossing and Lindenwood Drive in Laurel. The adult male victim was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects displayed a knife and demanded property from the victim. The victim complied and the suspects fled. Officers were able to identify one of the suspects and obtained an arrest warrant. The second subject is outstanding. Western District Shots Fired / Jessup 20-717184 On June 2, 2020 at approximately 4:15 p.m. officers responded to a residence located in the 7600 block of Race Road in Jessup for reports of gunshots fired. The suspect fled the location prior to officers’ arrival. A witness reported a resident fired one round outside of the house following an argument. No damage was located as a result of the round being fired. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Officers identified the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant. |
