1st Degree Assault - Hanover

On June 6, 2022, at approximately 1:00 a.m. officers responded to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center for a report of a stabbing that occurred in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. The victim was walking to his vehicle when he was assaulted by a suspect who cut him with an unknown type of edged weapon. The suspect fled the area on foot and the victim transported themselves to the hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening injury. The investigation revealed this to be a targeted incident and not a random act of violence. Commercial Robbery - Millersville

On June 6, 2022, at approximately 2:10 a.m., officers responded to the Taco Bell located at 8081 Veterans Highway in Millersville for a report of a robbery. An unknown black male approached the drive-through window on foot, displayed a firearm, and removed cash from a register. The suspect then fled the area on foot. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Robbery detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4720 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Strong-Arm Citizen Robbery (Update) - Annapolis

On June 3, 2022, at approximately 6:00 a.m. officers responded for a report of a strong-arm robbery of a citizen in the 700 block of Bestgate Road in Annapolis. The victim, a taxi cab driver, picked up the suspect at Anne Arundel Medical Center and drove him to several locations to find an ATM before ending up in the 700 block of Bestgate Road. While at the Bestgate Road location, the suspect grabbed the victim in a “bear-hug” and a struggle ensued. The suspect was able to remove the victim’s wallet and fled on foot. No weapons were used in this incident. Through investigative means, officers learned the identity of the suspect and applied for charges which are pending.

Sex Offense - Annapolis

On June 5, 2022, at approximately 5:30 p.m. officers responded to an alleged sex offense at the Jennifer Road Detention Center. The investigation revealed a Jennifer Road Detention Center employee committed a 4th-degree sex offense against an inmate. Southern District detectives are investigating and asking anyone with information about this or other incidents to contact them at 410-222-1960 or the TipLine 410-222-4700.
