Citizen Robbery (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On Thursday March 11, 2021 officers responded to the area of Furnace Branch Road at Thomas Road in Glen Burnie for an armed robbery. Officers located the victim who reported that he and his friends were riding their bikes in the parking garage of the Hein Building in Glen Burnie. Another group of bike riders entered the garage and the victim and his friend decided to leave. Both groups left the garage and traveled eastbound on Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard. The victim advised he attempted to evade the other group but failed. As the victim approached the area of Route 10 and  Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, a subject rode up next to the victim and kicked him off his bike. One of the suspects knocked the victim to the ground, while another displayed a black handgun, and took his bike. The victim then ran away from the scene and called the police. A description of the suspects and the stolen bike was given to officers searching the area. A group of subjects were located  in possession of the stolen bike. Within the group, two males were found matching the description of the subjects involved in the robbery of the bike. A K-9 officer responded to the scene and conducted an article search. The police dog located a bag containing a black handgun with an extended magazine that was discarded in the nearby wooded area.  The handgun was determined to be a BB gun. The two suspects who were involved in the robbery were identified by the victim and arrest.  Both suspects were juveniles; one was charged as an adult.

Destruction to Auto / Glen Burnie

On March 11, 2021 at approximately 9:40 a.m., officers responded for a destruction to auto in the 800 block of Aquahart road in Glen Burnie. The victim noticed a bullet hole in his windshield and located a spent round lodged in the head liner of his vehicle, a white 2018 Dodge Ram 2500. Officers located a 9mm casing approximately 50 feet from the vehicle. The owner advised the damage occurred between March 10, 2021 and March 11, 2021.
