Police Press Release - March 17, 2022 (Update March 28, 2022)

Northern District
Shooting - Glen Burnie

On March 17, 2022, at approximately 4:05 a.m. officers responded to the area of the 6000 block of Harris Heights in Glen Burnie for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived they found a 17-year-old female victim with a gunshot wound to her torso. An officer provided medical care for the victim until relieved by Fire Department personnel. The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury. Evidence and information received leads detectives to believe this was a targeted incident and not a random act of violence. Update (March 28, 2022): 
Through investigation, detectives identified 18-year-old Luke Alexander Davis-Mitchell, of Glen Burnie, as a suspect in this shooting. Davis-Mitchell is wanted for attempted First Degree Murder and other related charges. Detectives ask that anyone coming into contact with, or has information regarding the whereabouts of Davis-Mitchell contact Detective Collier at 410-222-0332 or 410-222-8610.

Armed Commercial Robbery - Glen Burnie

On March 16, 2022, at approximately 4:50 p.m. officers responded for a robbery at the Tobacco Etc store located at 7900 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The employee reported that at around 2:05 p.m., two unknown male suspects entered the store and one of the suspects threatened the employee with a knife while the other damaged a display case and stole merchandise. The suspects then fled. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Citizen Robbery - Brooklyn Park

On March at approximately 9:20 p.m. officers responded to E. Jeffery Street in Baltimore for a report of a robbery that occurred earlier. The victim was driving in the area of Bellegrove Road and West Meadow Road in Brooklyn Park when he stopped to check his tire. While the victim was outside of his vehicle he was approached by an unknown male suspect who pointed a handgun at him and demanded property. The victim did not comply and the suspect drove off with the victim’s vehicle. Responding officers located the vehicle a few blocks near Old Riverside Road Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim did not report any injuries. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

CDS Violation - Lothian

On March 5, 2022, at approximately 8:25 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop of a red 2002 Chevrolet in the area of Southern Maryland Boulevard and Mt. Zion Road in Lothian. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted resulting in the seizure of a loaded 9mm Polymer 80 handgun, a disassembled AR-15 with 208 rounds loaded in magazines 182 9mm rounds (loaded in magazines), approximately 754.94 grams of suspected Psilocybin mushrooms, approximately 37.69 grams of suspected heroin/fentanyl, approximately 196.86 grams of THC wax, 12 syringes containing suspected liquid Psilocybin, a digital scale, and $846.00 in US currency. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
