On March 18, 2025, at approximately 5:35 p.m., detectives assigned to the Western District conducted a traffic stop of a silver Nissan Rogue in the area of MD Route 32 near Laurel Fort Meade Road in Severn. During the stop, detectives located an unserialized 9mm Polymer 80 handgun loaded with 23 rounds of ammunition from the front seat passenger. The passenger, who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged. The driver had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

On March 18, 2025, at approximately 6:30 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop of a silver Acura in the area of Ritchie Highway and Camrose Avenue in Pasadena. During the stop, a search of the vehicle recovered a loaded Kurz semi-automatic handgun, multiple identification cards with different names, suspected CDS, and CDS paraphernalia. The driver, who was unable to be identified at the time of his arrest, and the female passenger were taken into custody.
