Shooting (Non-Contact) - Brooklyn

On March 19, 2024, at approximately 9:15 p.m., officers responded for a non-contact shooting in the 5200 block of Wasena Avenue in Brooklyn. An unknown suspect or suspects in a dark-colored sedan fired multiple gunshots, striking a Dodge Ram and two homes. No injuries were reported. Northern District detectives are investigating. Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

On March 19, 2024, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded for a citizen robbery at Southgate Old Mill Park located at 8224 Oakwood Road in Glen Burnie. Several suspects robbed four teenage victims at gunpoint, taking their belongings. As officers were investigating, a 911 call was received for a vehicle fire involving a stolen white BMW in the area of Oakwood Road and Old Mill Road. A witness provided a description to responding officers of the three subjects who fled the vehicle. The BMW had been reported stolen through Montgomery County. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The three suspects who fled the BMW were located and identified as the suspects involved in the robbery. They were arrested and charged.

Carjacking - Hanover

On March 19, 2024, at approximately 2:10 p.m., officers responded for a report of a carjacking in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. A 63-year-old female was approached by a teenage male who knocked the victim’s keys out of her hand. The suspect picked up the keys and got into the victim’s vehicle, a black 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, to find it occupied by a 29-year-old female. The suspect placed his hand in his pocket, implied he had a handgun, and ordered the female out of the vehicle. The suspect picked up two additional male suspects and fled toward the Baltimore Washington Parkway. Western District detectives are investigating.
