Vanadalism - Glen Burnie

On March 28, 2022, at approximately 6:30 a.m officers responded to the community of Elvatontown for multiple vandalisms. Unknown suspect/s spray painted two swastikas on the roadway and one on an HOA-owned building. Officers and County Roads crews are on scene removing the offensive material. Southern District
Prostitution - Edgewater

Members of the Anne Arundel County Police Narcotics and Special Investigations Section, Vice Unit received information regarding possible prostitution activity at Oriental Massage located at 3143 Solomon’s Island Road in Edgewater. Detectives initiated an investigation which resulted in charges of prostitution and performing massage therapy without a license against one employee, Nian Chen, 54, of Annapolis; and charges of an attempted 4th-degree sex offense and performing massage therapy without a license against a second employee, Meifang Shi, 61, of Flushing, NY.

Northern District
Attempted Citizen Robbery - Brooklyn Park

On March 26, 2022, at approximately 4:00 p.m. officers responded for an attempted robbery of a juvenile in the area of Kramme Avenue and Doris Avenue in Brooklyn Park. A 13-year-old male was riding his bicycle when a dark-colored sedan approached, occupied by three unknown males. The driver of the vehicle pointed a handgun at the juvenile and demanded money from him. The suspects fled when the victim had nothing to give them. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle or suspects. Western District
Assault / Weapons Violation - Hanover

On March 26, 2022, at approximately 11:30 p.m. officers responded for an assault in the 7000 block of Arundel Mills Boulevard in Hanover. The victims were in a vehicle at the Mcdonald's parking lot when the driver of a gray Nissan pointed a rifle toward them. The victims fled and the suspect followed them. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle and seized an Anderson AR-15 rifle. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

Shooting - Glen Burnie

On March 27, 2022, at approximately 2:45 a.m. officers responded to BWMC for a report of a shooting that occurred earlier. The 15-year-old victim reported that he was walking from a friend’s house in the area of Elvaton Road and Highland Drive in Glen Burnie at approximately 1:50 a.m. when he heard approximately six shots, one of which struck him. The victim stated he was unfamiliar with the area and was unable to provide the exact location of the incident. Officers checked the surrounding area and did not find any spent shell casings or damage from any projectiles. A canvass of the neighborhood was conducted and no one reported hearing any gunshots fired. Gunshots Fired - Severn

On March 27, 2022, at approximately 12:30 a.m. officers responded for a report of shots fired at a residence in the 8200 block of Stewarton Court in Severn. The caller reported a bullet went through an upstairs window and lodged into a wall. When officers arrived, they observed a male suspect approximately 100 yards away by the woodline who fled when he was told to stop by officers. Officers located a loaded Polymer 80 handgun near where the suspect was seen. A canvass of the area was conducted, and seven spent casings were found lying in the road on Marlton Court. CDS Violation - Severna Park

On March 26, 2022, at approximately 9:30 a.m. officers responded to the 700 block of Live Oak Drive in Severna Park for a report of a suspicious vehicle occupied by an unresponsive male and female subject. Callers reported one of the subjects had a weapon between his legs. Officers were able to get the attention of both occupants and were able to safely remove both subjects from the vehicle. The vehicle occupants were found to be in possession of two capsules containing suspected heroin, and 7 suspected Xanax bars. The vehicle had different registration tags displayed on the front and rear, neither of the tags belonged on that vehicle. The items believed to be weapons were found to be paintball rifles. Both suspects were charged accordingly.

CDS Violation - Glen Burnie

On March 25, 2022, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop of a black Volvo in the area of Ritchie Highway and Ordnance Road in Glen Burnie. During the stop, officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle resulting in the seizure of 21 small plastic bags containing approximately 18.8 grams of suspected crack-cocaine, 14 pills containing suspected Oxycodone, and $716.00 in U.S. currency. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
