Northern District
Bank Robbery & Retail Robbery / Glen Burnie

On March 2, 2021 at approximately 2:00 p.m. Northern District officers responded for a bank robbery at the Wells Fargo bank located at 7700 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. A male suspect wearing a gray athletic suit, gray hat and black mask entered the bank, implied he had a weapon and demanded cash. The bank teller complied and handed over an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency and the suspect fled on foot. While officer searched the area and detectives arrived on scene, a call was dispatched for a robbery in progress at a TMobile store located at 337 Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie. The suspect of the T-Mobile robbery matched the description of the Wells Fargo bank robbery suspect. During the robbery, the suspect assaulted T-Mobile store employees as he demanded cash. A female employee sprayed the suspect with pepper spray. Officers arrived and took the suspect into custody. Information and evidence obtained at the scene revealed the suspect in the TMobile robbery was the same suspect in the robbery of the Wells Fargo Bank. The suspect was arrested and charged in connection with both robberies.

Destruction of Property / Glen Burnie

On March 2, 2021 at approximately 2:20 pm Eastern District officers responded to Crain Highway and Crainmont Drive in Glen Burnie for a road rage incident. Upon officers arrival the victim reported that the incident started in the area of the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The victim was followed by the suspect during which time the suspect rammed his vehicle into the victim’s vehicle. Once in the area of Crain Highway at Hospital Drive the suspect fired an unknown weapon, striking the victim’s vehicle. The victim was not injured and no citizens reported injuries. The suspect was last seen driving North on Crain Highway in a gray Lexus. CDS Violation (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On Tuesday March 2, 2021 at approximately 10:15 a.m. an Eastern District officer conducted a traffic stop of a white Ford F-150 in the area of I-97 and Route 100 in Glen Burnie. Upon speaking with the driver the officer received information which led to a search of the vehicle resulting in the recovery of 23 capsules of suspected Heroin/Fentanyl, 22 used capsules containing suspected Heroin residue and a blue smoking device. The driver was taken into custody and found to be in possession of a capsule containing suspected Heroin and a clear smoking device. The driver was arrested and charged.
