Assault/Weapon Violation - Glen Burnie

On March 30, 2023, at approximately 1:00 p.m., officers responded to the 8000 block of Budding Branch Road for an assault. Upon arrival officers learned that an argument ensued between tenants in two separate apartments. One half went to his apartment, retrieved a Glock handgun and pointed the weapon at the other half of the argument. No shots were fired and there were no injuries reported. The unregistered firearm was recovered, and the subject was arrested and charged accordingly.

On March 30, 2023, at approximately 11:45 p.m., officers were called by a female to check on a friend’s well-being in the area of Cedar Hill Road, Brooklyn Park. During the call for service the caller became disorderly and kicked one of the responding officers. The officer suffered minor injuries and the suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

On March 30, 2023, at approximately 11:40 a.m., an officer on routine patrol in the area of Mountain Road near Jumpers Hole Road observed a male subject assaulting another person with a pole in the middle of the roadway. The officer immediately attempted to stop the assault and told the suspect to place his hands behind his back. The suspect then punched the officer in the face with a closed fist. Additional officers arrived and the suspect was taken into custody and charged accordingly. The officer and the original victim suffered minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
