In January of 2023, Western District narcotics detectives received information regarding CDS distribution activity at a residence in the 8200 block of Coatsbridge Court in Severn. The investigation led to the execution of a search warrant on March 8, 2023, resulting in the seizure of a semi-automatic handgun, approximately 23 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately 33 grams of suspected Phencyclidine (PCP), approximately 17 grams of suspected marijuana, and a digital scale. An occupant of the residence was arrested and charged accordingly.

On March 9, 2023, at approximately 12:40 a.m., officers checked on a male slumped over in a vehicle in the 3500 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. As the driver awakened, the officers noticed the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a loaded semi-automatic handgun, 247 suspected Oxycodone pills, approximately 18 grams of suspected marijuana, and a digital scale. The occupant was arrested and charged accordingly.
