Weapons Violations - Glen Burnie

On April 30, 2024, at approximately 2:35 p.m., officers responded for a report of a student with a handgun at Marley Middle School. School administrators, upon conducting an administrative search of a student’s backpack, located an unloaded 9mm Glock 19 handgun. The student alleged the gun belonged to another student who was located and found to be in possession of a replica Glock 17 BB gun. There is no evidence that either weapon was displayed to anyone in the school. Both students were charged.

On April 30, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of gunshots in the 400 block of Secluded Post Circle in Glen Burnie. The investigation revealed that two adults were engaged in an argument inside an apartment when one threatened the other with bodily harm and subsequently fired a shotgun in the 30-year-old male victim’s direction. The victim was not struck. Officers seized the suspect’s weapon, a 20 gauge shotgun. The suspect, who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged with attempted murder and weapons-related offenses.

On April 30, 2024, at approximately 8:30 a.m., officers were called to the scene of a male slumped over the wheel of a black Dodge Durango in the right turn lane of Whiskey Bottom Road at Brock Bridge Road in Laurel. Officers awakened the driver, who was found to be unlicensed. A loaded 9mm Glock handgun with an extended magazine was found in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. Further investigation resulted in the seizure of five capsules of suspected heroin/fentanyl, a clear bag containing suspected heroin/fentanyl, a digital scale, packaging material, and three mobile phones. The driver, who is prohibited from possessing firearms, was arrested and charged.
