Commercial Robbery / Linthicum

On May 10, 2020 at approximately 3:00 a.m. officers responded to the Dash-In/Shell Station for a robbery that just occurred. Two white males entered the establishment, implied a weapon and demanded cash and property from the store. The clerk complied and the suspects fled the scene. There were no injuries reported in this incident and anyone with any information is asked to call the Robbery Unit at 410-222-4720 or the TipLine 410-222-4700.

Suspects:

1) White male, 30-35 years of age, tall, thin build, wearing red hooded sweatshirt

2) White male, 30-35 years of age, short, thin build, wearing gray hooded sweatshirt


 

Western District
Robbery of a Citizen (Arrest) / Odenton

On May 9, 2020 at approximately 1330 hours officers responded to a robbery of a citizen on Route 175 near Sappington Station Road. The victim advised he was heading home in his electric wheelchair when an unknown suspect ran up behind him striking the wheelchair. The suspect hit the chair so hard the victim became disoriented. The suspect then stole a duffel bag containing the victim’s personal property and then fled the scene. Western District Detectives were called to the scene, through their investigation they were able to locate the suspect, who was still in possession of the victim’s property. Western District
Single Vehicle Fatal Crash / Crofton

On May 9, 2020, at approximately 9:45 a.m., officers responded for a single-vehicle crash on Riedel Road near Farmingham Lane in Crofton, Maryland.

A 2009 Nissan Xterra was located off of the roadway. The investigation revealed that the Xterra was traveling northeast on Riedel Road towards Farmingham Lane when, for unknown reasons, it left the roadway, jumped a curb and struck a tree. The driver of the Xterra was pronounced dead at the scene by the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. 

Preliminary investigation indicates the primary cause of this crash is the driver failing to remain in control of the vehicle. It is unknown at this point if alcohol or drugs are factors in this crash. Speed is not believed to be a factor. The Traffic Safety Section is handling the crash investigation.
