On May 18, 2022, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of an armed subject with a gun at the Shell Gas station in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, who stated that as she was driving south from Baltimore into Brooklyn, an unknown white male pointed a black handgun at her. The victim noted that the suspect did so while operating what she believed to be a gray or silver Hyundai Sonata. The victim included that the suspect pointed the handgun at her twice and that there was no verbal exchange between them. The suspect unexpectedly made a u-turn and fled north on Ritchie Highway. There were no physical injuries as a result of the incident.

Attempt Commercial Robbery - Brooklyn

On May 19, 2022, at approximately 12:40 a.m., officers responded for a report of an attempted robbery at the 7-Eleven, 4000 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn. Two white male suspects had entered the business, and one of them brandished a knife toward the clerk and demanded money while the second suspect started to walk behind the counter. The clerk produced a baseball bat to defend himself, and both suspects fled on foot. Multiple officers and K-9 responded to search the area. Officers located one suspect inside the 7-Eleven at 5617 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn, where he was taken into custody. The second suspect was not apprehended and is still unknown. Robbery detectives responded to the scene and are continuing the investigation. They ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4720 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

On May 18, 2022, at approximately 9:30 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop of a white 2017 Volkswagen on Kenilworth Court near Century Towne Road in Glen Burnie. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of a .40 caliber Glock 23 handgun and a small amount of suspected marijuana. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
