Shooting / Glen Burnie

On May 21, 2020 at approximately 6:20 p.m. officers responded to the 100 block of Loyd Lane for a report of a shooting. A 14-year-old was located inside the building suffering from a single gunshot wound. The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life threatening injury. Handgun Arrest / Glen Burnie

On May 21, 2020 at approximately 9:00 p.m., Gang and Firearms Investigation Task Force detectives including officers from our agency and Maryland State Police were conducting proactive patrol in the area of Green Branch Lane. While in the area detectives observed a vehicle which committed a moving violation. After conducting a traffic stop probable cause was established to search the vehicle. The driver advised detectives that he had a loaded handgun in the vehicle. Located inside of the vehicle was a loaded 9mm, Canik 55 TP-9 handgun. A further search of the vehicle revealed one small container of suspected heroin.
