In May 2024, detectives assigned to the Northern District Operational Unit received information regarding possible drug distribution activity. The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant in the 900 block of Dorchester Cove Road in Hanover on May 22, 2024, resulting in the seizure of the following:
Glock 43 9mm handgun with ammunition
Smith & Wesson .380 caliber handgun with ammunition
Approximately 73 lbs of suspected cannabis
$239,237.00 In U.S. currency
Packaging material/scales
One suspect was arrested on-scene and charged.

Serious Injury Crash - Glen Burnie

On May 23, 2024, at approximately 3:36 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Nabbs Creek Road for a single-vehicle crash. The investigation revealed an Infiniti Q40 was traveling eastbound on Nabbs Creek Road at a high rate of speed. The driver failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and the vehicle left the roadway then struck a tree. The driver was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries. This crash is under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.
