Northern District
Warrant-CDS Violation / Glen Burnie

On May 24, 2021 at approximately 8:11 a.m. a Northern District officer observed a vehicle traveling towards him at a high rate of speed and in the wrong direction on Route 648 near 1st Avenue in Ferndale. The officer located the vehicle a short distance away after it crashed on the I-695 Eastbound on-ramp at Route 648. As the officer approached the vehicle, the driver attempted to flee the scene on foot. Several officers responded to the and assisted with placing the suspect in custody. The suspect appeared to be under the influence of drugs/alcohol, was transported to an area hospital for treatment and upon release was arrested and charged. It was later discovered the suspect had an open warrant. A search of the suspect and vehicle revealed the following:
- 19.2 grams suspected marijuana
- 309.05 grams of suspected THC edibles
- 0.29 grams of suspected crack cocaine
- $561.00 US Currency

On May 24, 2021, at approximately 12:16 p.m. an Eastern District officer observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation in the area of Veterans Highway at Brightview Drive in Millersville. Probable Cause was developed to search the vehicle which yielded multiple packages of suspected THC edibles, multiple packages of suspected CDS marijuana, and $375.00 US Currency. The suspect was arrested and charged.

Handgun Violation/Laurel

On May 24, 2021 at approximately 12.56 p.m. Western District officers were in the area of the Motel 6 located at 3510 Old Annapolis Road in Laurel. Officers observed a subject loitering around the motel for an extended period of time, and then threw trash on the ground. Officers made contact with the subject at which time they received permission to look inside of a satchel he was wearing. Recovered from the satchel was a loaded Smith and Wesson M & P Shield 9mm semi-automatic handgun containing 5 rounds. The suspect was arrested and charged.

On May 24, 2021 at approximately 9:28 p.m. Western District officers responded to the 8000 Pioneer Drive in Severn for a CDS Violation involving an occupied Honda Civic. Upon arrival, officers made contact with three (3) occupants in the vehicle and observed suspected CDS in plain view. A probable cause search was conducted of the vehicle in which two loaded handguns, a Glock 43X 9mm and a Polymer 80 .40 caliber, were located. All three subjects were arrested and charged.
