Weapons Violation Arrest / Severn

On May 5, 2020 at approximately 9:10 p.m. an officer was patrolling the Stillmeadows Community in Severn when he observed a vehicle being driven erratically in the area of Jacobs Road and Stillmeadows Drive. The driver attempted to flee in the vehicle but lost control, striking a police vehicle. Officers noticed the driver reaching under the drivers seat and ordered him to show his hands. The suspect complied. Under the seat, where the suspect was reaching, was a a loaded Taurus PT140 Millennium Pro handgun. The driver was arrested and transported to Western District for processing.

Vehicle Tampering Arrest / Severn

On May 5, 2020 at approximately 8:15 a.m. officers responded to the area of Bragg Boulelvard and Quiet Spring Drive for a subject checking door handles. Witnesses reported the suspect left the area on a bicycle. Officers searched the area and located the suspect inside a vehicle in the 2500 block of Blue Water Boulevard. As officers approached, the suspect fled into a wooded area but was apprehended shortly thereafter. The suspect, a 15 year old from Severn, was charged on a juvenile citation and released to his mother.

 

At 1:00 p.m. an officer was patrolling the area of Stillmeadows Road and Oriole Court when he was flagged down by a victim who advised she saw a juvenile male pulling on the door handle of her vehicle. When she confronted the suspect, the suspect fled. Further investigation revealed this was the same suspect from the Bragg Boulevard incident. The suspect was once again charged on a juvenile citation and released to his mother.
