Burglary (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On November 1, 2020 at approximately 1:02 a.m. officers responded to Chesapeake Liquors located at 6720 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie for a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, officers noticed the rear door of the business had been pried open. Officers saturated the area and located a male suspect (Smith) near the back of the business attempting to hide. The suspect was apprehended along with burglary tools, a walkie-talkie two way radio, and property belonging to the business. The business was checked for additional suspects and none were located. An officer, called over the walkie-talkie asking for a pick-up. A second suspect (Holland) answered the radio and drove to a location where he was apprehended by officers on scene. Suspect (Holland) was in possession of a walkie-talkie two way radio and burglary tools. Both suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

Shooting / Glen Burnie

On October 30, 2020 at approximately 10:10 p.m. officers responded for a shooting at Clauss Liquors located at 604 Crain Highway N. in Glen Burnie. Upon arrival, officers located a 40 year old male victim who reported he got into an altercation with several subjects at the store and was shot by one of the subjects. The victim was transported to an area hospital with a non-life-threatening injury to an extremity. Officers canvassed the area however did not locate any suspects. Commercial Robbery / Linthicum Heights

On October 31, 2020 at approximately 11:25 p.m. officers responded for an armed robbery at the Shell gas station located at 724 Nursery Road in Linthicum Heights. An unknown male suspect entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the register. The clerk complied and the suspect fled. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. Commercial Robbery / Glen Burnie

On November 1, 2020 at approximately 5:25 a.m. officers responded for a commercial armed robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 7701 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie. An unknown black male suspect entered the store, displayed a kitchen knife and demanded cash from the clerk. The clerk backed away from the counter and the suspect removed cash from the register. The suspect and a second black male suspect who was standing watch outside the store fled toward Old Stage Road. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. Handgun Violation / Crofton

On October 31, 2020 at approximately 5:45 a.m. an officer observed a vehicle stopped in the travel portion of Crain Highway near Davidsonville Road in Crofton. The vehicle was occupied by a driver and front seat passenger. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer noticed signs of impairment and had the driver perform several field sobriety tests, which the driver failed to perform satisfactorily. The driver was arrested. A search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a loaded .40 caliber Glock 27 handgun. The driver and passenger were arrested and charged accordingly.
