Northern District

Gunshot Fired - Glen Burnie

On November 20, 2022, at approximately 10:10 p.m., officers responded to Heritage Hill Drive and Polk Drive in Glen Burnie for a report of a gunshot fired. Residents from several homes advised that they saw two black sedans drive around Polk Circle and then drive down Polk Drive towards Heritage Hills Drive when they heard one gunshot. A canvas of the area was completed.  No damage or evidence of a gunshot was observed. No injuries were reported. Weapons Offense - Glen Burnie

On November 21, 2022, at approximately 3:45 a.m. an officer observed an occupied vehicle parked at the gas pumps at the Exxon located at 8001 Crain Highway in Glen Burnie. The clerk advised the vehicle had been parked in the same location for a few hours without using the pumps. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer observed suspected CDS within the vehicle. Further investigation revealed the occupant was in possession of a handgun.  The occupant was arrested and charged accordingly.

Western District

Weapons Offense - Severn

On November 21, 2022, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of suspicious subjects who were checking vehicle door handles in the area of Astilbe Way and Briar Ridge Lane in Severn. As officers arrived, they observed suspects matching the description provided by the complainant. After a brief foot pursuit, officers apprehended one of the suspects.  Prior to being caught, the suspect dropped a loaded firearm, which was recovered by officers. The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.
