On November 21, 2021, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded for an attempted robbery of a citizen in the 200 block of Benton Avenue in Linthicum. The 58-year-old male victim was attempting to withdraw money from an ATM when an unknown male suspect approached the victim, displayed a knife, and demanded cash from the victim. The victim refused, and the suspect slashed at the victim with the knife, causing a minor injury. The suspect then fled on foot. On November 21, 2021, at approximately 11:15 p.m., officers responded to 1500 Crain Highway South in Glen Burnie for a robbery of a citizen. A 32-year-old female victim was approached by a vehicle occupied by two unknown suspects. The suspects implied they had weapons and demanded cash from the victim. The victim complied and the suspects fled in the vehicle. The victim was unable to provide a description of the suspects or the vehicle. On November 21, 2022, at approximately 10:25 a.m., officers responded for a report of a carjacking in the 4100 block of Belle Grove Road in Brooklyn. The 21-year-old male victim met with an unknown female suspect to conduct a sale of a silver 2004 Acura TL. Upon completing a test drive, the suspect displayed a handgun and ordered the victim to step away from the vehicle. The suspect fled in the vehicle southbound on Belle Grove Road. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect or vehicle. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135. Shots Fired - Glen Burnie

On November 21, 2021, at approximately 8:25 p.m., officers responded to the 7900 block of Stone Haven Drive in Glen Burnie for a report of gunshots fired. Officers met with a witness who reported hearing two gunshots prior to the call and provided a description of the suspect and vehicle. Responding officers observed a possible suspect vehicle fitting the description leaving the area. Officers stopped the vehicle, a blue 2006 Kia Sportage, and found the driver to be armed with a loaded 9mm polymer 80 (unserialized) handgun. There were no reports of injuries as a result of this incident. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

On November 21, 2021, at approximately 7:55 p.m., officers responded to the area of Southerly Road and Alley 29 in Brooklyn for a report of gunshots heard in the area. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots and two white male suspects running from the area on Southerly Road towards Ballman Avenue. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate any suspects. No victims were located. Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135. Fatal Crash - Severn

On November 19, 2021, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to Telegraph Road under the Route 100 overpass for a crash involving two vehicles. The investigation revealed that a 2001 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Telegraph Road approaching the intersection of the Route 100 interchange. A 2016 Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck was traveling southbound on Telegraph Road, approaching the same intersection. The two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision under the Route 100 overpass. The driver of the Honda was pronounced deceased at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire personnel. The driver of the Toyota was transported to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore with serious injuries.
The primary cause of this crash is currently under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.

Fatal Crash (Pedestrian Related) - Gambrills

On November 22, 2021, at approximately 12:20 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Crain Highway North for a crash involving a pedestrian. The investigation revealed that a pedestrian was in the travel portion of northbound Crain Highway when she was struck by a 2013 Western Star 4700 dump truck. The pedestrian was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene by Anne Arundel County Fire Department.
Preliminarily, pedestrian error is believed to be the primary cause of this crash. The crash is currently under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.

On November 20, 2021, at approximately 9:35 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop of a white 2016 Hyundai SUV on Solomons Island Road at Bayard Road. Upon speaking with the driver, the officer received information that led to a search of the vehicle resulting in the seizure of a loaded .40 Caliber Polymer 80 (unserialized) handgun found beneath the driver's seat. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.
