Stolen Auto - Glen Burnie

On November 22, 2022, at approximately 7:00 a.m., an officer observed a stolen blue 2018 Hyundai Elantra in the area of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and 8th Avenue in Glen Burnie. When the driver saw the officer, he turned off the headlights and sped away toward Crain Highway. The officer located the vehicle, and the driver fled on foot but was quickly apprehended after a short foot pursuit. The driver was charged accordingly.

Weapons Offense - Linthicum
22-741903

On November 23, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of a CDS offense involving three black males at the Royal Farms, 400 Camp Meade Road in Linthicum. As officers arrived, they observed three black males standing near the front entrance to the store. As the officers approached the men, they were met with the odor of burnt marijuana and noticed that two of the three men were actively smoking suspected marijuana cigarettes. When questioned, the two men advised that they were not in possession of medical cannabis cards. Upon advisement of the civil fine of misdemeanor marijuana possession, the two men consented to a search. During that search, officers located a loaded semi-automatic handgun in the front jacket pocket of one of the men. That suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

Weapons Violation - Brooklyn Park

On November 25, 2022, at approximately 7:15 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop of a black Honda Accord on Ritchie Highway near Church Street in Brooklyn Park. The officer discovered the driver had outstanding warrants and was placed under arrest. A loaded Glock 17 handgun was located in the passenger compartment of the vehicle. The handgun was reported stolen out of Virginia. The driver is prohibited from possessing firearms and was charged accordingly.

Motor Vehicle Theft/Weapons Violation - Glen Burnie

On November 26, 2022 at approximately 3:30 a.m. officers responded to the area of Smithy Square and Heritage Hill Drive in Glen Burnie for a complaint of suspicious subjects driving through the neighborhood. When officers arrive they located a Kia Soul, which was reported stolen on November 11, 2022.  Officers were advised a Hyundai Sonata was missing from the location where the Kia was recovered. The owner was able to track their vehicle which was located by officers on 1st Street in Brooklyn. The vehicle was occupied by two suspects.  One of the suspects, Green, was taken into custody.  The other suspect, Davis, fled, discarding a handgun as he ran from the officers.  He was quickly apprehended.

Attempt Robbery - Brooklyn

On November 27, 2022, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of an attempted robbery of a citizen that occurred earlier at the La Quetzalteca Latin Grocery, 5031 Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn. The victim advised that at approximately 9:00 p.m., he was walking back to a parked vehicle, which was in front of the Latin Grocery when he was approached by a black male wearing all dark clothing and a backpack. When the suspect approached the victim, he stated, “Give me your money.” The victim included that the suspect's hands were concealed inside the pockets of his hooded sweatshirt, and he was gesturing as if he had a weapon and the victim believed that he did. The victim told the suspect that he didn't have any money and continued toward his vehicle. The victim was able to make it to his vehicle and fled the area. Officers with the assistance of K-9 searched the area for the suspect with negative results. Theft From Auto / Recovered Stolen - Brooklyn Park

On November 28, 2022, at approximately 2:30 a.m., officers responded for a report of suspicious subjects in the 300 block of Snow Hill Lane in Brooklyn Park. During their investigation, officers learned that two suspects were seen on surveillance footage entering the victim's vehicle and then exiting. As officers were canvasing the neighborhood for the suspects, they encountered a Honda SUV driving with no headlights. Officers made a lawful traffic stop and identified both occupants. Officers were able to determine that the two occupants were the suspects from the surveillance footage. Additionally, officers learned that the Honda SUV was reported stolen on November 25, 2022 (Case #22-742023). Both suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

Commercial Burglary (Arrest) - Glen Burnie
22-742368

On November 28, 2022, at approximately 3:45 a.m., officers responded for a report of a burglary in progress at Scott's Gunsmithing, 231 Thelma Avenue in Glen Burnie. As officers arrived, they found a white Ford E350 van crashed into the front door of the business. With the assistance of numerous officers and K-9, two juveniles were located and arrested without incident. Upon further investigation, officers discovered that the juvenile suspects were removing firearms from display cases when they arrived. Northern District & Criminal Investigation Division detectives were notified and responded to assist with the investigation. Detectives learned that the van from this incident was also used in an attempted burglary earlier in the evening at Field Traders, 2400 Mountain Road in Pasadena. (Case #22-742371). Both juvenile suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

Shots Fired - Glen Burnie

On November 25, 2022, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of Whispering Elm Lane in Glen Burnie for a bullet that was fired into a home. The victim advised that they discovered a projectile had entered a rear upstairs window, shattering it. The projectile was found on the floor. No one was injured inside the residence. Officers canvassed the area for any video surveillance but did not locate any. No other residences reported damage. Weapons/CDS Violation - Severn

On November 25, 2022, at approximately 2:15 p.m., officers responded to Walmart located at 407 George Clauss Boulevard in Severn for a shoplifting. Walmart loss prevention personnel had two suspects detained. Officers placed both suspects into custody. One suspect, Barkley, was found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm Polymer 80 handgun. The second suspect, Waters, was found to be in possession of approximately 74 grams of suspected marijuana. Both suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie
22-742089

On November 25, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in the 500 block of West Court in Glen Burnie. The victim met the suspect on Instagram and arranged to meet with him at his residence to sell high-end shoes and jewelry. As the victim was loading the merchandise into the suspect’s vehicle, a second male suspect approached, displayed a handgun, and demanded the victim’s car keys. The victim complied and ran towards his residence. Both suspects fled in the vehicle the initial suspect arrived in. The victim’s vehicle was not taken. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle. First Degree Assault - Laurel

On November 26, 2022, at approximately 4:45 p.m., officers responded for an assault that occurred at the Garden Inn located at 3400 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The investigation revealed that a male suspect threatened an adult male victim with a knife because the victim walked too close to the suspect’s wife as he tried to squeeze past her on a staircase. Officers located the suspect, who was arrested and charged accordingly.

Commercial Robbery - Odenton

On November 26, 2022 at approximately 8:00 p.m. officers responded to the Walgreens located in the 8300 block of Piney Orchard Parkway for a robbery. Officers were advised the suspect went to purchase an item and when the cash register opened he jumped the counter, forcibly pushed the cashier out of the way and stole currency.
