Armed Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

On November 5, 2022, at approximately 3:00 a.m., officers responded for an armed robbery that occurred in the 600 block of Crain Highway North in Glen Burnie. A 16-year-old male was walking past the U-Storage when a male suspect asked for a cigarette and cash.  The victim gave the suspect $2.00.  The suspect was not satisfied with that and threatened the victim with a knife.  The victim was able to flee unharmed.  The suspect ran southbound on Crain Highway.  Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. Northern District detectives are investigating the incident and ask that anyone with information contact them at (410) 222-6135 or the Anne Arundel County Police Tip Line at (410) 222-4700. 

Suspect: Black male, black hair with gray/white streaks, tall, thin, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants

Attempted Robbery (Citizen) - Glen Burnie

On November 5, 2022, at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers responded for a report of an attempted robbery at the Citgo, 501 Crain Highway South in Glen Burnie. The victim stated after pumping fuel, a black male walked up to him and demanded money. While the suspect was demanding money, he lifted his shirt to reveal a handgun in his waistband. The victim showed the suspect that he did not have any money. The suspect fled towards a second male suspect who was waiting on a bicycle on Crain Highway. The pair fled South on Crain Highway. Suspects:

1) Black male, thin build, approximately 5-6”, last seen wearing all black clothing with a black ski mask, armed with a black handgun

2) Black male, riding a bicycle, last seen wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt

Attempt Robbery (Citizen/Delayed Reporting) - Glen Burnie

On November 6, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers responded for an attempted robbery that occurred overnight in the area of Georgia Avenue and Linden Lane in Glen Burnie. The victim reported that while walking along Georgia Avenue at 1:00 a.m., he heard a vehicle driving slowly behind him. As he continued to walk, three males exited the vehicle and approached him. One of the males punched him and displayed what he believed to be the grip of a handgun in his waistband. One of the remaining suspects attempted to rip his necklace from his neck while the third suspect was pointing what he believed to be a paintball gun at him. The victim struggled with the suspect, that was trying to remove his necklace, who relented, and the victim was able to flee. As the victim ran, the suspect wielding the paintball gun fired several rounds, striking him in various areas on his body. The victim did not seek or request medical attention. During the investigation, detectives learned that there were three previous incidents involving a paintball gun earlier in the day in the greater Glen Burnie area (22-739459, 22-739461, 22-739532) and believed the incidents could all be related. Suspect: Three unknown race males operating an unknown sedan.
