Northern District
Robbery (Citizen)/Police Impersonator - Glen Burnie

On October 8, 2022, at approximately 1:00 a.m., officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in the 100 block of Crain Highway North in Glen Burnie. The victim stated that while he was seated in his vehicle, he was approached by a white male suspect, wearing green sweatpants, a black sweatshirt with a white print, and a black skull cap. The suspect told the victim that he was an undercover police officer and requested the victim’s license. As the victim was retrieving his license from his wallet, the suspect reached into the vehicle and took the wallet. The suspect fled on foot towards Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard (Glen Burnie Town Center). Suspect: white male, average height, dark hair, beard, skull cap, green sweatpants, a dark-colored sweatshirt with a white logo on the front.

Shooting (Contact) - Severn

October 9, 2022, at approximately 10:10 p.m. officers, responded for a shoooting in the 8200 block of Consett Court in Severn.  A 22-year-old male met with a male suspect with the intent of purchasing marijuana from him. After payment, the suspect refused to turn over the marijuana.  The suspect then withdrew a handgun and fired multiple rounds at the victim, striking him multiple times. The victim fled the scene and was located by officers who found him to be in possession of a 9mm handgun. Evidence on scene indicates there may have been a second shooting suspect. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A canvas of the crime scene revealed four vehicles were struck by projectiles. Assault (1st Degree) - Glen Burnie

On October 9, 2022, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of threats at the Ritchie Mini Storage, 20 Ertel Road in Glen Burnie. The caller advised that the suspect stole the complainant's phone and was making threats.  The suspect was armed with a hammer and was detained by an off-duty Veterans Affairs Police Officer until officers arrived as officers attempted to take the suspect into custody; the suspect bit and kicked officers several times.  The suspect was arrested and charged accordingly.

On October 7, 2022, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded for a report of an assault that just occurred in the 3500 block of Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The victim stated that as he was riding his bicycle home from work, he was approached by three black males who were wearing all-black clothing. The victim included that two of the suspects were wearing ski-type masks. The suspects knocked the victim off of his bike and struck him several times with closed fists before taking his cell phone and fleeing in a black/dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee. Suspects: Three black males wearing all dark clothing. Two of the three suspects were wearing ski-type masks.

Weapons Violation - Laurel

On October 9, 2022, at approximately 1:15 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a white Toyota Highlander in the 3500 block of Russett Green East in Laurel.  Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer noticed the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.  The investigation resulted in the seizure of a loaded black semi-automatic handgun and a civil amount of marijuana. The driver is prohibited from possessing firearms and was arrested and charged accordingly.

On October 7, 2022, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a moving violation in the area of Belle Grove Road and Pebble Drive in Pumphrey. Upon making contact with the driver, officers detected the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the vehicle. When questioned, the driver admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle; during a subsequent search of the vehicle officers located approximately 2 lbs of suspected marijuana, approximately 4 lbs. of suspected marijuana edibles, a digital scale, and a loaded black semi-automatic handgun. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

Commercial Robbery - Glen Burnie

On October 7, 2022, at approximately 10:30 p.m. officers responded to the Citgo gas station at 501 Crain Highway South in Glen Burnie for a report of a commercial robbery. A male suspect entered the store displayed a knife and demanded money and tobacco products.  The clerk struggled with the suspect as an accomplice entered the store.  The clerk was able to disarm the suspect and remove him from the store.  Both suspects fled on foot.  A responding officer located and detained two males matching the suspects’ descriptions.  Both suspects, who were positively identified, were arrested and charged accordingly.
