DUI/Weapons Violation - Glen Burnie

On October 13, 2021, at approximately 11:20 p.m., an officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a gold Honda Accord in the area of Ritchie Highway and Furnace Branch Road in Glen Burnie. The vehicle failed to stop and continued at a high rate of speed until it struck a median and a parked vehicle at Thomas Road and Alview Terrace. The driver fled on foot, however was quickly apprehended by the officer. The driver was found to be under the influence of marijuana and alcohol. The officer located a loaded Polymer 80 Glock style “ghost gun” handgun with no serial number on the driver’s side floorboard of the vehicle. The driver was arrested and charged accordingly.

On October 14, 2021, at approximately 5:25 a.m. officers responded for an assault in the 2100 block of Priest Bridge Drive in Crofton. When officers arrived they located an adult male victim with a stab wound to his torso. The investigation revealed the victim was involved in a physical altercation with the suspect who produced a pocket knife and stabbed the victim. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A knife was recovered from the suspect.
