Northern District

Shooting (Non-Contact) - Glen Burnie

On October 24, 2024, at approximately 7:20 p.m., officers responded to the McDonald’s located at 7379 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, Glen Burnie, for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers met with a witness who stated that two males were engaged in an argument when an unknown black vehicle pulled up alongside the males. One of the males withdrew a handgun and fired at the vehicle. All of the involved individuals then fled. Responding officers located several spent shell casings on the ground and damage caused by gunfire to a parked Dodge Ram. No victims were located. Northern District

Attempted Robbery (Commercial) - Glen Burnie

On October 24, 2024, at approximately 10:00 p.m., officers responded for an attempted robbery of the Lavandaria Laundromat located at 7560 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie. The victim reported that she had locked the doors and was closing up for the night when two male suspects began banging on the glass window at the front of the store, demanding entry. One of the males displayed a handgun in his waistband. The males then went to the rear of the store and attempted to force their way in through the rear door but were unsuccessful. The suspects fled on foot. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects. Western District

Shooting (Contact) - Severn

On October 24, 2024, at approximately 6:15 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunshots in the 8200 block of Tomlinson Court in Severn. Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered medical aid until the victim was transported to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in critical but stable condition. A second victim, a 39-year-old female, was found with a minor, non-life-threatening graze wound from a fired projectile and was transported to an area hospital where she was treated and released. Witnesses at the scene reported there was an altercation in the neighborhood involving multiple individuals before the shooting occurred. Western District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6155.
