Attempted Theft from Auto - Brooklyn Park

On October 25, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m., an officer responded to the area of Walton Avenue and Redmond Street in Brooklyn Park for a report of two white males checking vehicle door handles. As the officer arrived, two suspects fled on foot. The officer was able to apprehend one of the suspects. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the second suspect. The first suspect was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant and was arrested and charged accordingly.

On October 25, 2022, at approximately 9:00 p.m., officers were approached by a 29-year-old male victim with a large cut to his forehead. The victim advised that he was assaulted by three black male teenagers in the area of Kramme Avenue and Townsend Avenue. The victim stated the males said something to him, and then one of the males struck him in the head with a metal baseball bat. The victim was treated at an area hospital for a non-life-threatening injury.
