Police Press Release - October 29, 2019

Second Free Vaccination Clinic for Dogs

Date: Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019
Time: 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Location: Parking Lot at corner of Arwell Court & Pioneer Drive

URGENT: Dogs in the Still Meadows, Spring Meadows and The Orchards (previously known as Pioneer City) communities have died recently of parvovirus, a HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS DISEASE AMONG DOGS that makes them extremely sick and usually kills them (humans can’t get this disease). The county also has several cases annually of rabies in wild animals and/or pets. Rabies is fatal to both animals and humans.

To help protect the dogs of Still Meadows, Spring Meadows and The Orchards (previously known as Pioneer City) and their owners, Anne Arundel County is offering FREE vaccinations for your dogs to protect them from parvovirus or rabies.

Owners who came to the free clinic on Oct. 15, 2019 should bring their dogs back to this clinic to receive a second parvo vaccination that will strengthen the dogs’ protection against this disease (please bring the certificate you got Oct. 15.)

This clinic is for dogs only. Dogs should be on leash and under control. Owner identification is required for your pets’ vaccination certificates. Animals from outside the area should NOT be brought to the clinic as it would increase their risk of exposure to the deadly parvo virus.
