On October 28, 2023, at approximately 5:40 p.m., officers responded for a shooting in the 300 block of Gatewater Court in Glen Burnie. Witnesses reported that the occupants of two vehicles, a black sedan and a silver sedan, fired multiple rounds at each other. Officers located two unoccupied vehicles with damage from the projectiles, along with several spent shell casings in the parking lot. There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident. On October 28, 2023, at approximately 9:10 p.m., officers responded for a carjacking in the 100 block of Eugenia Avenue in Glen Burnie. The 22-year-old male victim was seated in his vehicle when three armed suspects approached him and demanded his vehicle, a 2010 black Nissan Altima. The victim complied, and the suspects left in the stolen vehicle, heading toward Baltimore Avenue. Carjacking - Glen Burnie

On October 29, 2023, at approximately 1:20 a.m., officers responded for a carjacking in the 100 block of Sunset Drive in Glen Burnie. The 23-year-old male victim was sitting in his 2018 Ford Fusion when two armed suspects got out of a black Hyundai, approached the victim, and demanded his vehicle. The victim complied, and the suspect fled in the victim’s vehicle, which was located unoccupied, on Heritage Hills Drive near Lincoln Court. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspects. The Hyundai used by the suspects had been reported stolen. Stabbing-Brooklyn

On October 29, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of an assault in the 4900 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn. During their investigation, officers learned that a 39-year-old female suspect got into a verbal altercation with a 27-year-old male and a 36-year-old female victim. During the incident, the female suspect retrieved a knife and stabbed the female victim on the right side of her torso. The male victim who witnessed the incident intervened and was stabbed in the face by the suspect. The female victim began to punch the suspect in the head during this incident, and the suspect fled the area before the police arrived. The suspect was located by canvassing officers and transported to the local hospital for minor injuries. The male and female victims were also transported to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect was charged accordingly.

On October 28, 2023, at approximately 10:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of a shooting victim in the area of Woodland Hills Way and Chase Hills Drive in Laurel. Upon speaking with the 18-year-old male victim, officers learned the victim was in his vehicle in new Sudlersville Road near Brock Bridge Road in Laurel when a male suspect shot at him. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injury to an extremity. Officers searched the area of New Sudlersville Road but did not locate any suspects. CDS/Weapons Violation - Odenton

On October 29, 2023, at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded for a report of suspected drug distribution in the 900 block of Waugh Chapel Way in Odenton. A witness reported that there were two armed males selling drugs from a vehicle behind the shopping center. Officers located the suspects and had them get out of the vehicle, a 2023 Hyundai Sonata. One of the suspects assaulted an officer and fled on foot while the other was detained. The fleeing suspect was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. The fleeing suspect sustained injuries during the incident and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. A loaded, unserialized, 9mm handgun, $1440.00 in U.S. currency, and approximately 60 grams of suspected Cannabis, packaged for sale, were observed within the vehicle. Further investigation led to the execution of a search warrant for a second vehicle that was parked next to the Hyundai, a 2010 Mazda 6, resulting in the seizure of a digital scale and a loaded Smith & Wesson 9mm handgun, which was reported stolen.
