On September 13, 2024 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Anne Arundel County Police responded to 7000 Arundel Mills Circle, Hanover for a report of a shooting just occurred. Officers assigned to the Arundel Mills Entertainment district arrived within two minutes of the initial call and were directed to the rear parking lot nearest the movie theater complex. Officers quickly located an unknown adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the upper torso and immediately began life saving measures. Anne Arundel County Fire personnel arrived soon after and continued on scene medical treatment. The victim was transported to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and was pronounced deceased while in transport. The victim has not been positively identified at this time. Preliminary investigation by Anne Arundel County Police Homicide detectives reveals the incident appears to be a targeted event. This investigation is active and on-going.
