Weapons / CDS Violation - Brooklyn Park

On September 14, 2021, at approximately 3:00 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Haile Avenue in Brooklyn Park for an unknown disturbance. Upon arrival, officers learned of an assault. A witness pointed out the suspect to the officer. As the officer approached, the suspect fled; however, he was soon apprehended in the area of Johnson Street and Short Street. The suspect was found to be in possession of the following items, which were seized:
- Ruger .45 Cal semi-auto handgun with 10 rounds
- 13.2 grams suspected crack cocaine
- 14 Suboxone strips
- 25 Oxycodone pills
- .8 grams marijuana
- Digital scale
- 565 empty clear capsules
- Misc. packaging paraphernalia
- $1,217 US Currency
- 2 cellular phones
The subject was found to have five open warrants and is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.
