Northern District
Stolen Auto;CDS Violation; Weapons Violation (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On September 16, 2020 at approximately 1:35 a.m. a Northern District officer observed a vehicle violate multiple traffic violations.  The officer stopped the vehicle, a silver Ford Crown Victoria, in the area of southbound Ritchie Highway and Mountain Road and determined the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Howard County.  Further investigation resulted in the recovery of several bags of suspected crack cocaine weighing approximately 17 grams, 216 capsules of suspected Heroin/Fentanyl weighing approximately 72 grams, a loaded Beretta .25 caliber semi-automatic handgun and $3,287 U.S. currency. The driver and passenger were arrested and charged accordingly.

Northern District
Shooting / Brooklyn Park

On September 15, 2020 at approximately 10:15 p.m. officers responded for a shooting in the 5200 block of Brookwood Road in Brooklyn Park. Upon arrival, officers located a 26 year old male victim with an apparent gunshot wound to an upper extremity. Witnesses reported seeing the suspect shoot the victim and flee towards Church Street. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.  Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135 or the TipLine at 410-222-4700. 

Suspect: Black male, 6’00 - 6’3”, thin build, wearing all black clothing

Western District
Commercial Robbery (Arrest Update) / Hanover

On September 14, 2020 at approximately 1:45 p.m. Western District officers responded to the McDonald’s restaurant located at 7043 Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover for a report of an armed robbery. Officers were then advised the incident actually occurred on September 13, 2020 at approximately 9:45 a.m. in the drive-thru window of the restaurant. The suspect placed a food order, handed the clerk money and a credit card, and then demanded his payment be returned. The suspect then became argumentative toward the clerk. The clerk complied and returned the suspect’s payment. The suspect additionally demanded the food he ordered which was also handed over to him. A weapon was never displayed, however the clerk advised a gun was implied. The suspect then drove off in an unknown direction. Through investigations the suspect vehicle was identified as a Silver Nissan SUV. Digital evidence is being processed by CID Robbery detectives. This is an active and ongoing investigation. Update (9/16/20):

Through investigation, detectives were able to identify the suspect as Beau Brandon Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald was located on September 15, 2020 and taken into custody and charged accordingly.
