Destruction / Shots Fired - Glen Burnie

On September 18, 2022, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers responded for a report of gunshots fired in the area of North Meadow Drive and Ivy Lane in Glen Burnie. Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots.  Several spent shell casings were found in the roadway.  A home and a vehicle in the 100 block of North Meadow Drive were struck by projectiles.  No injuries were reported.  Northern District detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-6135 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Robbery - Glen Burnie

On September 18, 2022, at approximately 12:05 a.m., officers responded for a robbery at the 7-Eleven located at 7753 Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard in Glen Burnie. Five male suspects entered the store.  Two of the suspects displayed handguns and demanded cash from the clerk.  The clerk complied, and the suspects fled the scene in two separate vehicles, a silver Honda Accord and a light-colored SUV.  Responding officers located an unoccupied vehicle, a silver Honda Accord, believed to have been used during the robbery. The vehicle had crashed into the woodline near Jumpers Hole Road and Obrecht Road. Officers located one suspect hiding beneath a vehicle and took him into custody.  Four suspects are outstanding.  One handgun was recovered. Robbery detectives are investigating and ask anyone with information to contact 410-222-4720 or the Tip Line at 410-222-4700.

Eastern District
Weapons / CDS Violation - Arnold

On September 18, 2022, at approximately 2:20 p.m., officers responded for a complaint of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Chocataw Road and Comanche Road in Arnold. Responding officers located the vehicle, a white 2019 Toyota Camry. The investigation resulted in the seizure of a loaded .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun, a loaded 9mm handgun, approximately 224 grams of suspected marijuana, and two gel caps with suspected crack cocaine. All suspects were arrested and charged accordingly.

Western District

Weapons / CDS Violation - Odenton

On September 19, 2022, at approximately 2:00 a.m., an officer observed a parked, occupied vehicle at the rear of the Motel 6 located at 1630 Annapolis Road in Odenton. Upon speaking with the occupant, the officer noticed the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The investigation resulted in the seizure of the following evidence:

 

  • Black semi-automatic handgun with nine rounds of .40 caliber ammunition
  • Clear bag of approximately 3.14 grams of suspected crack cocaine
  • Gelatin capsule containing approximately .3 grams of suspected heroin
  • Plastic bag containing approximately 2.8 grams of suspected marijuana. 
  • Four clear plastic bags containing multiple smaller multicolored plastic baggies
  • Two black scales
  • Four pill bottles containing 773 unknown pills with varying stamps

 

Further investigation revealed that the occupant had several outstanding arrest warrants and was prohibited from possessing firearms.
