Citizen Robbery / Brooklyn

On September 24, 2020 at approximately 3:45 p.m.  officers responded to the Village Liquors located at 720 Church Street in Brooklyn Park for a reported theft. Upon arrival, it was learned the victim was standing in front of the store looking for cigarettes and the suspect approached the victim and demanded money. When the victim refused, the suspect threatened to assault the victim at which time the victim handed over coins. The suspect then fled the area but was located by officers a short distance away. The suspect was positively identified, arrested, and charged.

Check Fraud - CDS / Glen Burnie

On September 24, 2020 at approximately 3:15 p.m. officers responded for a check fraud in progress at Sandy Springs Bank located at 7405 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie.  A male subject was attempted to cash a stolen check. Officers quickly responded and located the suspect vehicle still waiting in the drive-thru. The driver was placed under arrest and the three passengers were instructed to exit the vehicle.  Officers observed in plain view suspected CDS and drug paraphernalia. The passengers were detained and later arrested and charged.

The following items were recovered:

  • 17 full gel capsules of suspected heroin/fentanyl 
  • 23 empty gel capsules  
  • syringes
  • CDS smoking devices

Citizen Robbery / Brooklyn Park

On September 24, 2020 at approximately 12:00 a.m. officers responded for a robbery of a citizen in the 200 block of East Stanley Terrace in Brooklyn Park.  Upon arrival officers met with three victims who reported they were sitting inside their parked vehicle in front of a residence when a white van stopped next to them. Three black males,  wearing dark colored hooded jackets and facemasks exited the van, displayed handguns, and demanded their property. The victims compiled and then were ordered out of the vehicle. The suspects attempted to take the victim’s vehicle but was unsuccessful. The suspects fled the area in the white van making a left onto Townsend Avenue. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect vehicle.  No injuries were reported due to this incident. Armed Carjacking / Crofton

On September 25, 2020 at approximately 1:17 a.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of Blockton Court in Crofton for an armed carjacking.  The victim stated she was approached by two white males wearing grey hooded shirts, black pants and facemasks, as she was removing boxes from her vehicle.  One of the suspects pointed a handgun at her while the other grabbed her from behind and took her keys.  The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle.  Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.  Western District detectives are conducting the investigation and ask anyone with information please call 410-222-6155 or the Tip Line at 140-222-4700.

Shooting / Severn

On September 24, 2020 at approximately 9:45 p.m. officers responded to the 8500 block of O’keefe Drive in Severn for a shooting.  Upon arrival contact was made with the adult male victim.  The 20 year old male victim was suffering from a gunshot wound(s) to the upper body.  He was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
