87-year-old James Monroe Anders is reported missing and in need of assistance. Mr. Anders did not return home after going to the grocery store at 4315 Mountain Road in Pasadena on Sept. 28, 2020. He is 5’09” tall and has white hair and blue eyes. Mr. Anders is operating a grey 1992 Buick Roadmaster with MD registration BB4056 and may be traveling between Maryland and Pennsylvania. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Anders is asked to call 911 immediately.

Attempted Citizen Robbery (Arrest) / Pasadena

On September 28, 2020 at approximately 2:30 a.m. officers responded for a commercial robbery at the Royal Farms located at 2500 Mountain Road in Pasadena. The suspect entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded cash from the clerk. The clerk complied and the suspect fled. Responding officers quickly located the suspect who was arrested and charged accordingly. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

Handgun Violation / Pasadena

On September 25, 2020 at approximately 3:25 a.m. officers were conducting foot patrol in the 3000 block of Marble Arch Drive in Pasadena. They observed an occupied vehicle with the only two occupants in the rear seats of the vehicle. Officers made contact with the occupants and detected an odor of marijuana. At this time officers inquired about the odor and were handed a plastic bag of suspected marijuana. The occupants were then removed from the vehicle. Officers began searching the vehicle and the male occupant, who was identified as Mr. Zach Blake, fled on foot into a wooded area. A search of the wooded area was conducted, however the subject was not located. The search of the vehicle revealed a loaded, “RETRO Glock” P80 9MM handgun. The handgun had one 15 round magazine in the magazine-well. Additionally, a spare magazine was located next to the handgun. The other occupant remained on scene and cooperated during the investigation. Officers collected all evidence from the vehicle and continued working the case. Eastern District detectives joined the investigation and were successful in locating Mr. Zachary Blake on September 28, 2020. Mr. Zachary Blake was arrested and charged.

Handgun & CDS Violation (Arrest) / Glen Burnie

On September 29, 2020 at approximately 12:40 a.m. a traffic stop was conducted on a black Chrysler 300 in the area of Elvaton Road and Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie. Upon approaching the vehicle, the officer noticed an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was detained pending further investigation. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded Glock .22 pistol and suspect CDS. The driver was placed under arrest and charged accordingly.

The following items were recovered:

  • Loaded Glock handgun
  • 55 Capsules of heroin
  • 56 Oxycodone pills
  • 120 Grams of marijuana
  • Multiple plastic baggies

Shooting(Arrest Update) / Severn

On August 5, 2020 at approximately 8:30 p.m. officers responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Jamestown Drive in Severn. Upon arrival, officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper body inside a residence. The adult male victim and suspect were engaged in an altercation in front of the residence. The suspect fired a handgun, striking the victim. The suspect then fled. Officers rendered first aid until EMS personnel arrived on scene. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Update (9/29/20)

Through investigation, detectives were able to identify a suspect, Deontray Poole, who was located on September 28, 2020 by members of the U.S. Marshals Task Force at a residence in the 4700 block of Old York Road in Baltimore where he was taken into custody without incident. As a result of this investigation, a .22 caliber Ruger and .22 caliber ammunition were recovered.
