Outing Ave Resurfacing Project Duvall Hwy Sidewalk Project Public Meeting Announcement
A public meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm at Northeast High School, 1121 Duvall Hwy, Pasadena, MD 21122
During the meeting, DPW will update citizens on this ongoing design project to improve sidewalk connectivity along Outing Avenue from MD 177 to Duvall Hwy and along Duvall Hwy from Outing Avenue to MD 173. The improvements will be broken out into two separate projects. The first project will be completed by our Bureau of Highways Pavement Management group, who will resurface Outing Avenue and install new pedestrian ramps with detectable warning surfaces. The second project will be Duvall Hwy from Outing Avenue to MD 173 - #H583801. This project will add new sidewalk along the north side of the roadway from Outing Avenue to Pine Haven Rd. Other improvements include the upgrade of existing pedestrian ramps, crosswalk markings, drainage system design, and storm water management improvements within the project limits. Overall project description, project needs, hydraulic design, right of way impacts, tree impacts, environmental permitting impacts and project schedule will be addressed at the meeting.
